A Hefe-Weissbier is not simply poured — it is served with a small ritual. Done right, it gives you the beautiful cloudy colour, the fruity aroma and the dense, creamy head Bavarians expect.
1. Rinse the glass
Rinse the tall Weissbier glass with cold water. A wet, clean glass helps the foam form evenly and stops the beer from foaming over.
2. Pour at an angle
Hold the glass at about 45 degrees and pour slowly along the side. As the glass fills, gradually straighten it.
3. Save the yeast
When about a tenth of the bottle is left, swirl the bottle to wake up the yeast at the bottom. Pour the rest on top — this gives the beer its typical cloudiness and full flavour.
4. Enjoy
A perfect Weissbier has a firm crown of foam rising just above the rim. Our team pours every Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier this way — come and taste the difference.
